Inspired by the Plum Island, Massachusetts shoreline where salt marsh meets the beach.

9 x 12" A quick and loose pen and ink sketch with watercolor wash of the village harbor.

9 x 12" Using ink, concentrated pigment and traditional watercolors, I recreated a photo my son took of the aurora behind this small wood church on the coast of Iceland.

9 x 12" As the sun sets there are spaces through the tree that light up the undergrowth. I used a sponge to blur and accentuate the contrasting light and dark.

6x9" This is one in a series of a dozen trees created with a bamboo pen and ink with watercolor and a drop of concentrated pigment.
